Our long time client Ulu Ventures, who we have produced video content for over ten years holds an annual meeting for their investors every year. They are a Bay Area based venture capital fund that aims to build companies with diverse executive teams. Last year they could not hold an in person meeting due to Covid and we helped them do a virtual show. This year the first plan was to do a hybrid event of some in person as well as virtual attendees. Due to local guidelines that became out of the question so once again we did a virtual annual meeting for them. This included two cameras, a control room, director, cameraman, soundman and a producer ( the wonderful Rusty Dornin who I worked with at CNN for many years).

The show featured three videos edited by our own Chuck Afflerbach, three remote guests, a local host and four local speakers. Everything went terrific and our client was very happy with the meeting and the virtual show. We used a new platform called Welcome. It is like Zoom and the others in that space but has some fancier features to make your meeting shine online.

All went well but it took some friendly chat by our producer to get the city infrastructuresguys out on the street to shift their jack hammering so it did not crush our sound for the meeting. They very kindly consented to shifting and the show went on.
